This project, carried out by the Aydın Machinery and Metal Exporters Cluster with the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, aims to bring together strong companies operating in the machinery and metal sector in Aydın to create a competitive ecosystem in the global market.
Founded in 1982 in Nazilli by Mehmet Kalaz with a small lathe, the initiative has grown into a nationally recognized engineering brand. Today, with 1,800 m² of indoor and 5,000 m² of outdoor factory space, nearly 200 patented products, and a strong R&D-driven production infrastructure, GMK provides services across a wide range of industries — from plastic injection molds to drip irrigation equipment, from solar energy mounting parts to custom machinery manufacturing.
About Us
Our company was established in 1982 in Nazilli. Beginning its journey with a lathe built by our founder, it entered the market by producing machinery and automotive spare parts. To remain competitive, in the 1990s we expanded into mold and manufacturing by incorporating universal milling and EDM machines. Since then, we have produced sheet metal stamping, cutting, forming, plastic blow, and injection molds for many companies, becoming a pioneer in mold-making across industries.
In 2007, with the involvement of the second generation of family engineers, our company expanded its portfolio by adding plastic injection machines and began plastic production. Using molds manufactured in our own toolshop, we started supplying plastic parts and irrigation fittings for various industries, including drip irrigation, solar water heating, and water treatment systems.
At the end of 2014, our company relocated to its new factory in the Nazilli Organized Industrial Zone, increasing its number of plastic injection machines and continuing to deliver products to companies throughout Turkey and abroad. With nearly 700 self-designed molds produced in-house — a number that continues to grow — our company has become well-known in Turkey for producing drip irrigation fittings. Through our design and production software, we dedicate our R&D efforts to developing products not previously manufactured in the sector and to supporting water-saving solutions against increasing drought. Furthermore, we are committed to social responsibility projects, such as mentoring young interns and raising awareness about the conscious use of water resources. Our goal is to elevate the company to higher levels through projects and training while continuing to produce high-quality, customer-focused, and widely recognized products.
